Stop devaluing my art, Dave!
eta: well, this was a giant mistake, sorry everybody. No, Slice does not take place in the same universe as Moonstuck.

Deleted scene from the next update, which is turning out to be 15(!) pages, so yeah it’s gonna be a while yet. Especially because I’m going on vacation at the end of the week — I’ll have wifi at least part of the time, but not my computer, so weekly content will (hopefully) continue but I can’t work on the story until I get back.
I’ll be gone from January 26th to February 4th. Nightmare Night continues for yet another month.
Oh Pumpkin, you have not been having the best introduction. I promise there’s more to her than just a colossal brat; hopefully we’ll be seeing so in a couple of updates. And I’m not just saying that because she ended up being the most like I was as a kid (SORRY MOM AND DAD).
This week’s random extra content is Clipper and his goldfish. I guess I’m starting out with the kids?
Next update is taking a while on account of being pretty long (and may need to be posted in two parts, although I’ll try to keep it under 11 pages). I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before, although the link has been on the sidebar, but there’s a tag on my regular tumblr for WIPs of new updates (along with a general Slice tag for extra drawings and general talking about stuff), soooo that’s something I guess!
In the interest of keeping up my own motivation, henceforth I’m going to try to post some kind of miscellaneous Slice-related thing at least once a week. These will be under their own tag (plus any relevant character tags) and not included in the chronological archive; it’s probably going to be mostly random doodles and pinups like this, but we’ll see how it goes.
A lot of you seem to really like Powder, so here she is with her mother, Milky Way. Milky is an astronomer, and she and Twilight have telescope parties on the weekends.
eta: Several people have informed me that there is another tumblr with an OC named Milky Way. As with most of the other non-canon ponies in Slice, my Milky Way is based off of a G1 pony of the same name; additionally, I doubt there will be any confusion between the two characters, so I don’t believe it necessary to change it.
Any inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or general absurdities (e.g., the gleeful obliviousness with which they sail off into clearly-evil waters in their inconsistently-scaled boat) are due entirely to the fact that both Clipper and his dad are terrible storytellers and not that I know jack-squat about fishing or sailing, yep.
Anyway, I do recommend you re-read the last update before this one, because I know it’s a bit weak after such a long gap and the glorious combination of kerning jokes and ponybeard can only carry you so far.
Thanks to Equestria Daily for yesterday’s feature, and hello everyone who just came in! Everybody have a great holiday, and I’ll see you next year!
