I promised last week’s weekly would be another deleted scene, and then I completely forgot. Sorry!

In the original draft, the twins actually ran right out of the haunted house, and Nightmare-Luna chased them all the way back to Sugarcube Corner, traumatizing poor Fluttershy forever. It also would’ve been Applejack’s first appearance — some of you may remember that Big Mac was also supposed to show up dressed as Zorro, but there wasn’t a place for him and AJ got his costume instead — but sadly the whole bit had to be scrapped. Poor Applejack, you’ll get in eventually.

There was also going to be two ponies in a horse costume claiming they were dressed as Sleipnir. It would’ve been so beautiful. :(

WELL the Pinkie’s Family update is turning out a LOT longer than anticipated, so have the next installment of Flying Lessons instead. Still trying to work out how much of a mix I want between questions and comics; it seems like even simple questions turn into long convoluted stories anyway. I just fail at traditional askblogging I guess!

Anyway, I’m heading down to BronyCon this weekend, so if you’ll be there too then come stop by table #505 and say hi if you’d like! There will probably not be anything specifically Slice-related but I’ll be doing table sketches. :D
