Breaking from the Nightmare Night story (sigh) for a more realtime-seasonal message…
Mr. and Mrs. Cake have been a little neglected lately, so they get to be the ones to wish everyone a happy Hearth’s Warming Eve and a generally joyful holiday season, regardless of what, if anything, you celebrate. Hope you’re all doing well!
Happy Halloween, everypony! (Okay it’s past midnight here, but it’s still Halloween somewhere, it counts!)
Now that Halloween’s almost over, it’s the perfect time to start the Nightmare Night story (excellent timing on my part, go me). This is a multi-parter with TONS of characters involved, and it could very well span the entire month of November, so I hope you’re not all sick of candy and costumes yet!
Since it will also, in all likelihood, intersect with the premiere of season three, I’ll just go ahead and talk about how the new episodes will affect Slice (this is basically the same thing I posted on my regular tumblr the other day so feel free to skip it if you’ve read that):
For the most part, if something comes up that I believe I can easily add in or change, I will. If it’s something that I don’t feel I can add, and it can’t be explained away by the timeskip, then Slice will just have to be AU-based. I don’t really anticipate getting anything I can’t work in somehow, though, that’s pretty much just covering my butt in case the Cakes are permanently transformed into velociraptors or something. (Actually I would totally redo all of Slice with velociraptor Cakes if that happened, because that would be awesome, but just as an example.)
Anything involving spoilers for the latest episode will not be posted or updated until at least 24 hours after the episode airs.

When I started this tumblr, one of my goals was to have a panel where Mr. Cake screams “croquembouche” for no reason. Now, I’ve finally achieved my dream. Feels good.
OH ALSO SOME there is a Nightmare Night story coming up, hopefully to be posted…around Halloween. …ish. I’m horrendously uncreative, so I’m taking costume suggestions for just about everypony! Just keep it 1) tasteful and 2) plausible for the pony world (this isn’t an excuse to do gratuitous crossovers). Please and thank you. :D
